Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on therapy that is done with the client fully clothed, laying face up on a massage table. It can address mental, emotional, and physical disorders. It focuses on the cranial sacral fluid that creates a rhythm that resonates throughout the body much like meridian points in Chinese medicine. When there is damage to the body, it causes tension, which disrupts the normal cranial rhythm. A disruption in rhythm can cause pain, fatigue, and disorders in related organ function such as the stomach and liver.

Releasing blockages and unwinding tension with this subtle therapy allows the body to resume a normal rhythm. Treatment results in decreased pain, increased relaxation, and greater range of motion just to name a few benefits. CST is effective in treating many conditions, such as:

·Chronic or acute pain
·Chronic digestive complaints
·Hiatal or inguinal hernia
·Headaches, migraines
·Autoimmune diseases such as arthritis, lupus
·Stress relief
·Muscle or joint pain such as TMJ
·Sinus congestion
·Postpartum adjustment for both mother and baby
·Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Read what one of Dr. Linda’s patients had to say about her experience with craniosacral therapy:

I met Dr. Linda 3.5 weeks after my nine-year-old son received a concussion while snowboarding, and I wish it had been sooner. She was the first doctor that could really understand how scared he was feeling and explain it to me. She affirmed many of my mothering instincts to continue to hold him and keep things calm when the rest of the world was expecting him to be back to his normal self. I didn’t see very many improvements in his condition until after his first visit with Dr. Linda. Concussion recovery is challenging, and I’m thankful that Dr. Linda was there supporting us.
