Sara Imam

As an east coast native, Dr. Sara grew up in a family of healthcare providers who instilled in her from a young age the importance of diet and lifestyle in the prevention and treatment of disease. She was introduced to naturopathic medicine at a young age after a family member saw a naturopath, and was immediately drawn in by its blend of science and humanism.

Dr. Sara completed her undergraduate education in New England, where her thesis on gendered experiences surrounding food sovereignty ignited her passion for women’s health. Shortly after this, she moved to the west coast where she received her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She then went on to complete a two-year postgraduate residency at a busy naturopathic primary care clinic.

Dr. Sara endeavors to create a safe space for all, support patients wherever they are in their health journey, and provide culturally affirming care through the use of both natural and conventional therapies. In particular, she enjoys incorporating botanical medicine, targeted nutraceutical support, and lifestyle therapies to help patients achieve their health goals. Her clinical interests include women’s health (including conditions such as PCOS, PMS, cycle dysregulation, and perimenopause/menopause), hormone replacement therapy (HRT), dermatology, cardiometabolic conditions, and primary care. Dr. Sara is also a certified Biote pellet therapy provider.

In her free time, you can find Dr. Sara exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, trying out new cafes, and cozying up with a good book and her fluffy cat named Belle.
